AutoSlip is an automated receipt scanner that integrates with YNAB (You Need A Budget). It uses AI to extract transaction details from your receipts and automatically creates transactions in your YNAB budget.
Simply upload a photo of your receipt or forward receipt emails to your unique AutoSlip email address. Our AI will extract the vendor, date, amount, and line items, then match them to your YNAB categories. You can review and edit details before syncing to your budget. Once you're comfortable with how it works, you can turn on auto-push to save time. All pushed transactions are marked as 'needs approval' in YNAB for easy review.
Yes, AutoSlip requires an active YNAB (You Need A Budget) subscription. We integrate directly with YNAB to create transactions in your budget. You can sign up for YNAB at ynab.com.
We offer three subscription tiers: Paper Receipts ($3/mo), Online Receipts ($3/mo), or both features combined ($5/mo). All plans include a 7-day free trial with full access to features. (Annual plans will be coming soon!)
After signing up, you'll receive a unique email address (receipts-[your-id]@autoslip.ai). Simply forward receipt emails to this address, and we'll automatically process them and add the transactions to your YNAB budget. You can easily set up forwarding rules in your email account to automate this process.
Yes, we take security seriously. All YNAB tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption. We use industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing, secure session management, and encrypted data storage. Receipt files are automatically deleted after 90 days.
AutoSlip can process most standard receipts including retail purchases, restaurant bills, grocery store receipts, and online order confirmations. We support both image uploads (photos of physical receipts) and email receipts from online purchases.
Our AI typically achieves high accuracy on standard receipts. We use confidence scoring and automatic verification - if the AI isn't confident or detects discrepancies, it will automatically retry with a more advanced model. You can always review and edit transaction details before syncing to YNAB.
During setup, you select which YNAB categories you want to use. Our AI suggests categories for each line item based on your active categories. You can customize the category selection and edit individual line items before syncing.
AutoSlip automatically detects refund transactions and attempts to match them with recent purchases from the same vendor. When a match is found, we use the same categories from the original purchase for consistency.
Yes, before creating a transaction in YNAB, we check for existing transactions with matching date (±3 days), payee, and amount. If a matching transaction is found, we'll update it. If you've already split the transaction in YNAB, we'll leave your edits in place.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through the Subscription page in your account settings. We use Stripe for billing, and you can manage your subscription through the customer portal.
