Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AutoSlip's receipt processing and YNAB integration service (the "Service"), operated by Timberline Tech LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AutoSlip provides a receipt processing service that:

  • Accepts receipt images uploaded directly or forwarded via email
  • Uses artificial intelligence to extract transaction data from receipts
  • Syncs processed transactions to your You Need A Budget (YNAB) account
  • Provides transaction management and categorization features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Not share your account credentials with others
  • Not use another user's account without permission

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

We offer the following subscription plans:

  • Paper Receipts: $3.00/month - Process uploaded receipt images
  • Online Receipts: $3.00/month - Process receipts forwarded via email
  • Everything: $5.00/month - Access to both receipt processing methods

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required for the trial. Your trial will automatically expire after 7 days unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

4.3 Payment and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not provide refunds for partial months of service
  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period

5. YNAB Integration

Our Service integrates with You Need A Budget (YNAB). By using this integration, you:

  • Grant us permission to access your YNAB account via your access token
  • Authorize us to read your budgets, accounts, and categories
  • Authorize us to create transactions in your selected YNAB budget
  • Acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing all synced transactions in YNAB
  • Agree to comply with YNAB's terms of service

You may revoke our access to your YNAB account at any time by removing the integration in your account settings or by revoking the token in YNAB.

6. AI Processing and Accuracy

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to parse receipt data. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI parsing may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all parsed transaction data
  • We provide confidence scores and verification tools, but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy
  • We are not liable for financial errors resulting from incorrect parsing
  • You should always review transactions before approving them for YNAB sync

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to bypass rate limiting or security measures
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Abuse or overload our systems with excessive requests
  • Share your receipt forwarding email address publicly
  • Use the Service to process receipts for multiple businesses without authorization

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Receipt file data (images and emails) is automatically deleted 90 days after upload. Transaction metadata is retained to provide historical records. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@autoslip.ai.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Timberline Tech LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal use only.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIMBERLINE TECH LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Financial errors or discrepancies in parsed receipt data
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Third-party service failures (YNAB, Stripe, AI providers)

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • System upgrades
  • Emergency repairs
  • Third-party service outages

We are not liable for any losses resulting from service unavailability.

12. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Timberline Tech LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Timberline Tech LLC is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
